The Government adopts a national plan to guarantee women's rights
04/12/2017 12:00 AM [rtl]Baghdad / Al-Sabah The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mahdi Al-Alaq, called on the House of Representatives to accelerate the adoption of the law against domestic violence as a real guarantee for maintaining the cohesion of the family and women's full rights and empowerment (politically, socially and economically). In a speech on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Haidar Al-Abadi, Al-Alaq said in a speech to launch the 16-day campaign on the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, held by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / Women's Empowerment Department at the Babel Hotel in Baghdad under the slogan " "The Iraqi government has adopted a national plan of action prepared in partnership with the relevant executive and legislative bodies and a number of international and local organizations to implement international obligations including UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) to guarantee women's rights to freedom, security, Gender-building peace in the country.
