An Iraqi call for Germany to develop the oil and gas industry

Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Al-Allaibi called on German companies specialized in the oil and gas industry to participate in oil and gas industry development projects. The ministry said in a statement received by the (range) that the latter "discussed with German Ambassador to Iraq Cyril Jean Nun, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and gas." The statement added that "Allaibi stressed during the meeting on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the field of oil and energy and called on German companies specializing in the oil and gas industry to participate in the development of oil and gas industry in Iraq." The minister pointed out that "the ministry is keen to create an environment suitable for the work of international companies and cooperate with them to enhance opportunities for cooperation and investment to achieve the goals and common interests."
