The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, discussed with US President Donald Trump the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions and holding Iran accountable for its aggressive actions.
Saudi Arabia's SPA said on Wednesday that the king had telephoned Tramp, who expressed US condemnation of the attempt by al-Houthi's coup gangs to target Riyadh with a ballistic missile.
He also expressed his "condemnation of this criminal attempt, which is a blatant attack on the Kingdom's sovereignty and was targeting a populated area ...".
"The United States stands with the Kingdom in the face of threats to its national security," Trump said.
The two leaders discussed "the measures to implement the relevant Security Council resolutions and to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its aggressive actions and its involvement in supplying its Huthi militia with rockets to threaten the security and stability of the Kingdom and the countries of the region."
