Central Iraqi sales of foreign currency rise 13.7 million dollars

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)'s foreign exchange sales rose to 154.71 million dollars on Tuesday, compared to 141.03 million dollars on Monday, an increase of 13.68 million dollars, the bank said in a statement.
The Central Bank said in a statement received by "Economy News", that the exchange rate amounted to 1190 dinars per dollar, in the auction held with the participation of 41 banks, and 8 companies for financial transfer.
The total sales for the day were $ 184.41 million, the bank said.
Amounts sold to boost bank balances abroad amounted to $ 153.9 million, while cash sales were estimated at $ 810,000.
The Central Bank said in a statement that the sale of the amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad is at the price of 1190 dinars per dollar, while the cash sale will be at the same price.
