The removal of Assad's teeth ... an American plan to liquidate the popular crowd in Iraq

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A US-led plan to flush out popular mobilization forces in a secret operation called "taking off the lion's fangs" is calling for the return of heavy weapons to the factions and halving their numbers, military sources have revealed.
The plan envisages that the Iraqi army is currently counting the weapons of the popular crowd, such as armored vehicles and tanks handed over by the government to the factions to fight an oppressive organization.
Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi issues an order to the army and police commanders to hand over those heavy weapons on the pretext of their reform, and then the Ministry of Defense excludes fighters over the age of the required and physically unfit.
"The plan will be implemented very carefully and carefully to prevent any negative reaction from the leaders of the popular crowd," said a political analyst close to the government. Adding that the government and behind it the United States believes that "we can not keep a second army in one country. The main aim of the plan "is to liquidate the popular crowd as an influential force in the Iraqi scene.
