[rtl] China's trade surplus surplus slowed in 2017, with imports rising above export growth, but the trade balance surplus with the US hit a record high.[/rtl]

The balance of trade balance for the world's second-largest economy reached 2.87 trillion yuan ($ 422.5 billion) in 2017, according to data released by the Customs Administration of China on Friday.
China's yuan-denominated import exports rose by 10.8 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively.
As for their exports and imports in US dollars, they saw a rise of 7.9% and 15.9%, respectively.
China posted a trade surplus with the United States last year of $ 275.8 billion, the highest level ever, and $ 250.7 billion in 2017.
By 7:20 am (GMT), the yuan was up 0.5 percent at $ 6.4724.
