After the decision of the Federal Court on the elections .. Sources: Sunni forces want an emergency government

BAGHDAD - Political sources confirmed that the Union of Forces is pushing for a proposed law to form an "emergency government" to walk the country until elections are held.
"We reject any request submitted or put in the House of Representatives on the formation of an emergency government, and we will not accept it," said MP Salim Shawqi.
"The emergency government means freezing all existing laws, and also the Iraqi Constitution, so that new decisions and laws can be taken that could put the political process at risk and bring us back to square one," he said.
Shawki, a member of the legal committee in the House of Representatives, said that his bloc with "the timing and the constitutional dates," noting that "the decision of the Federal Court (on the conduct of elections by the date) is binding on all parties and can not be challenged.
The bloc «Change» in the Iraqi Council of Representatives reiterated its position in favor of holding legislative and local elections on schedule.
"We are holding elections according to the specific constitutional timing, and not with the postponement, in respect of the Iraqi constitution and the right of the people," said MP Bakir al-Quds al-Arabi.
He also pointed to the rejection of his bloc «any tendency to form an emergency government, or postpone the legislative or local elections».
