    [rtl]Trend Press / Agencies[/rtl]
[rtl]Gazeta Row published an article by Agnat Kalinin and Amalia Zatari entitled "Olive Branch: Why Turkey is launching a new war on Syria", in which he reviewed the reasons behind the new Erdogan's war in Syria.[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the article, based on information from the conflict zone, there is a large-scale military attack in Afrin, previously planned. To achieve the plan, Ankara had to obtain official approval from Damascus, or at least its main ally, Russia. Since the beginning of the operation, the Turkish media confirmed that the actions of the Turkish army have indirect support from Moscow.[/rtl]
[rtl]As an affirmation, the article added that columnist for the newspaper "Hurriyet" Murad Yatkin, drew attention to the fact that the air force and air defense in Syria (systemsS-400 andRussian S-300 in Syria) no action has been taken against the violation of the airspace of a sovereign country by the Turkish Air Force.[/rtl]
[rtl]"Washington's apparent lack of interest in Turkey's security concerns has prompted Ankara to get Russia's support for its work on what it sees as an important threat" to its national security,.[/rtl]
[rtl]The article also said that Russia and Assad were looking to reap some benefits from the current situation.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The government forces have already suggested to the Kurds that they put at their disposal government institutions to leave control of the Afrin border to the Syrian army," said Gazeta Rowe, coordinator of programs at the Russian Council for Foreign Affairs, Ruslan Mamidov. This move could have protected the Kurds from attacking the Turks.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The Kurds rejected this, thinking that the Americans would not abandon them and would not allow the Turks to attack them," Mamidov said. The United States is not a trusted partner, if there is something that does not meet American interests. Although the Syrian government has announced that it will drop Turkish aircraft over its sovereign territory, it apparently decided not to intervene in general.[/rtl]
[rtl]In addition, Damascus permits the transfer of Kurdish forces through government-controlled territory in Afrin, which, of course, can enhance the defense capacity of the canton.[/rtl]
[rtl]While Kurds and Turks are weakening each other, Damascus must consider how to turn the situation in its favor. This is in addition to Assad regaining control of additional areas in Idlib, given that the main forces of the Syrian armed groups went to fight the Kurds. "[/rtl]
