[Asharq Al-Awsat] Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a phone call from NATO Secretary General Jan Stoltenberg, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the Iraqi government.
"During the course of the talks, increased training of Iraqi forces of all kinds was discussed, as well as the development of the new military education curriculum to include infantry, intelligence and other branches with the capacity of the Ministry of Defense," the statement said.
The statement added that Abadi "stressed Iraq's desire to continue to train its forces and transfer the training of Iraqi forces inside Iraq."
Abadi said in his weekly conference after meeting with his team of ministers today that the Council of Ministers voted on the draft law on graft to hunt down corrupt people.
