"There are many international companies such as Exxon, Chevron and Total operating in Kurdistan, and this does not bother anyone," he said. "Why can not we work there?"

The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Mahdi al-Alaq has announced, on Wednesday, that Baghdad in the solution of the contracts, "Ross Oil" signed with the Kurdistan Region, pointing out that the company has caused itself a problem, as he put it.

The Russian oil and gas giant Rusn Oil, announced on 19 October last signed an agreement with the Kurdistan Region, which begins to explore for oil in five different locations in the region and also includes the areas of logistics, infrastructure development and energy resources trade.

The company said in a statement that it expects 670 million barrels of oil in the five sites, indicating that if confirmed the presence of crude, the company will start commercial production of these sites in 2021.

The Russian company also has an agreement with the Kurdistan Regional Government to start the implementation of a joint venture to operate an oil pipeline in the region.

According to the "Rossneft" under the agreement signed with the Kurdistan Region, the company will bear the costs of conducting studies and drilling estimated at 400 million dollars, of which 200 million dollars may be paid from the proceeds of sale of oil project after extraction and will receive 80% of the profits of the project.

Igor Sechin, CEO of "Ross Oil" confirmed in October, the importance of a general approach to the work of foreign companies in the territory of Kurdistan, and keep these companies away from politics.

"We are working in Venezuela and we have started working in Kurdistan and we are also looking at cooperation with Iran. However, I am not a politician. My job is to extract oil and do this effectively, and we strictly abide by legislation wherever we work," he told reporters.

"If there are contradictions of an internal nature, it must be resolved between the government of Kurdistan and the central government in Iraq," This is not our subject at all, "adding that many international companies such as Exxon, Chevron and Total active in Kurdistan," This does not bother anyone, why not Can we work there? "
