[rtl]Mubasher : Gold prices rose on Friday, as risky asset markets plummeted, but are heading for weekly losses.[/rtl]
[rtl]
By 0725 GMT, the price of gold futures for April delivery rose 0.2% to $ 1322.1 an ounce.

While the spot price of yellow metal stabilized at $ 1318.8 per ounce.

Gold has seen its first gains since 5 sessions at yesterday's session.

Riskier assets are falling sharply as the US stock market plunges and the dollar falls.

The Dow lost more than 1,000 points at the end of yesterday's session, down 24,000 points, marking the third decline in five sessions.

The US currency also fell after the government partially closed for the second time in less than a month.
