The Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported that eyewitnesses spotted a number of Israeli military groups heading towards the northern border with Syria.
The newspaper described the Israeli military movements as "preparing for war on the northern border," noting that "the Israeli army strengthens its military forces in the north against the backdrop of recent developments, which included Israel's announcement to drop a drone, and to shoot down an Israeli fighter F-16, on Saturday the past".
Although the Israeli army refused to comment on news of mobilizing military buildup to the north, eyewitnesses confirmed "the vision of the missile batteries of the air defense forces heading to northern Israel, while others spotted tankers carrying them in central Israel," according to the newspaper.
On Saturday, an Israeli army spokesman confirmed that Syrian air defenses had dropped an F-16 fighter jet in northern Israel after Tel Aviv dropped an Iranian drone. Finished
