[ltr]Members of the UN Security Council unanimously voted on Saturday for a draft resolution on a 30-day humanitarian truce in all Syrian territory.[/ltr]
[ltr]In a speech after the vote, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United Nations, Mansour Ayyad al-Otaibi, said that the important thing now is to implement the resolution to preserve the lives of civilians in Syria.[/ltr]
[ltr]For its part, US Ambassador Nicky Healy announced that the United States wants to enforce a cease-fire throughout Syria. She added that the "Syrian regime and its allies" to stop attacks on the eastern Ghouta and the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.[/ltr]
