    Justified the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, financial adviser to Prime Minister Haider Abadi, raising taxes in the new budget, by diversifying sources of revenue and not rely on oil only.


    "The payment of taxes is a national duty to help everyone in providing the budget with money that should go to projects that the citizen sees in particular, such as the establishment of hospitals, streets and others," he said. .


    He added in a press statement: "Iraq is ranked last in the world by paying taxes, as it does not meet 3% of GDP, because the culture of tax payment is weak and strange to the Iraqi people."


    He added: "The tax imposed is very little and does not pose any burden on the citizen, but the politicians to distance the financial policy from the problems and disobedience because it does not bear more challenges."


    The House of Representatives passed on Saturday the Federal Budget Law 2008, after a difficult labor, has included new taxes and increase the proportion of taxes originally imposed on some professions, materials and imported goods, in exchange for cancellation of the deduction of salaries of employees and retirees.
