    A member of the parliamentary legal committee said that the Federal Budget Law 2018, voted by the House of Representatives earlier this week, will be effective without signing the President of the Republic within 15 days. 

    "The committee has addressed the government since the previous period to stop the deductions for salaries of employees until the adoption of the budget," said member of the Committee Hossam al-Aqabi said that "the vote on the new budget means that the suspension of the deduction came into force as of January 1 last. 

    He added that «any action after this date will be contrary to what is in the budget law and must be canceled», noting that «the amounts that were deducted for the months of January and February will be guaranteed guarantees due to return to employees when the availability of cash».

     He added that «the government has sent the amendments desired by the Tax Authority through the budget, while the collection and collection of sales tax through special law or the amendment of the previous tax law», adding that «the central government sent the federal budget for 2018 and included taxes by 10% , And the parliament voted to reduce this ratio to 5% with the exception of the ration card items in full ». 

    The parliamentary legal committee confirmed that the Federal Budget Law 2018, voted by the House of Representatives this weekend, will be effective without signing the President of the Republic within 15 days

     . The committee member Zana Said said in a press statement that «the House of Representatives voted on the general budget was sent a copy of the law to the President of the Republic Fuad Masum for ratification according to the Constitution within a period of 15 days», adding that «the law will be effective if not signed by the President of the Republic After the end of the period ». 

     He added that «the Presidency of the Republic can not restore the laws voted by the House of Representatives and does not have that authority according to the law», noting that «the timing of ratification of the budget will not be affected by the appeal to the Federal Court, which will take its legal context.

    If the budget was approved either on Sat. Mar 3 or Sun Mar 4, it will be law before March 21 - and if SB is correct that March 21 is the date of the start of Iraq's financial year, it will be huge - taxes are included.  How can the Iraqis pay taxes when their currency is under the program rate?
