The Saudi air defense on Thursday intercepted a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi militia on Jazan. The Saudi air defense managed to destroy the missile.
On Wednesday, the UN Security Council strongly condemned the firing of rockets into Saudi Arabia by Houthi militias.
The Security Council noted that ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militias threaten the security of the region.
The Council expressed its concern that the Houthi militias announced their intention to target Saudi Arabia and other countries.
He called on all Member States to implement fully the arms embargo as required by Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2216. In that regard, Council members expressed deep concern over the violation of the embargo.
