US crude futures traded at $ 71.77 a barrel, after hitting a high of $ 71.86 a barrel, while opening today's session at $ 71.31 a barrel, the lowest level at $ 71.31 a barrel.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States' trade war with China is "hanging" after the world's biggest economy agreed to abandon its tariff threats while working on a broader trade deal, giving US markets a positive boost, US Treasury Secretary Stephen Manuchen said on Sunday.
Crude oil prices, however, remain slightly off their highest level since November 2014, as expectations are that there is enough supply to meet demand despite ongoing cuts in production led by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, Reduction of high crude oil prices.
