    Iraq news

Corruption and mismanagement caused the collapse of the Iraqi economy despite the country's huge oil wealth. In this context, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that the unemployment rate of the young people in Iraq is more than 40 percent.

The percentage of women outside the labor force in Iraq is nearly 85 percent, the IMF said in a report.

The report pointed out that there is an increase in youth unemployment by international standards in many countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The report added that it is necessary for countries to distribute the fruits of prosperity to all, in order to reduce the rate of unemployment.

According to a report by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CPS) in March, 22 percent of all women in the country were unemployed.
