    Information / Special ...
MP of the Liberal Bloc MP Ayad al-Shammari said on Tuesday that the water file is political and that the Iraqi negotiator is a weak negotiator towards the riparian countries with Iraq.
Al-Shammari said in a statement to the Agency that the former Minister of Water Resources called on the Iraqi government to put pressure on Turkey to enter into the EU agreement, but the request was not heard.
He added that "a previous proposal was submitted to the concerned parties that one day will come equal to a barrel of water compared to a barrel of oil."
Al-Shammari, the Supreme Water Committee chaired by the Minister of Water Resources, called for "accounting of the influential and removing excesses on water quotas."
He stressed that "the Iraqi negotiator is weak and that Iraqi politics did not take its real role by pressure on the Turkish side," noting that "to maintain the water quota of the central and southern provinces need to apply the law and accounting violators." Ending / 25 h
