    BAGHDAD / The Minister of Justice Haider Zamili, on Tuesday, to accelerate the introduction of the law reforming inmates and depositors into force.
    Al-Zamili said in a statement received by "Iraq News", that "after intensive follow-up with the Presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives has been sent to the law of the Presidency of the Republic for ratification and to be published as soon as possible in the Iraqi fact sheet to enter into force in the coming days after being sent to the Ministry on July 7 With the approval of the President of the Republic. "
    He added that "the reform of inmates and depositors Law No. 14 of 2018 came in place to replace all laws and regulations governing the management of inmates and former depositors, in particular the Reform of Guests and Depositors Law No. 104 of 1981 and the Revolution Command Council Resolution No. 20 of 25 May 1993 and the Memorandum of the Coalition Provisional Authority (Dissolved) No. 2 of 2003, and all orders of the Coalition Provisional Authority (dissolved) relating to the subject of the management of inmates and detainees and detention centers.
    He added that "this legislation has introduced many amendments that keep pace with the procedures of the management of inmates and depositors and taking into account the improvement of the work conditions of the employees of the reform departments and fix the entitlements of workers in these departments in terms of the allocation of risk as well as the allowance of livelihood, and include the employees of the departments of other ministries working within the reform departments Provisions ".
    He explained that "one of the most important amendments in this law is the disengagement of the Department of the reform of events from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and linking them to the Ministry of Justice in line with international recommendations and conventions and the need to unify the management of all prisons and Iraqi convictions and make them within the functions and management of the Ministry of Justice."
    "The law also covers many details of the prison administration in terms of scientific classification of depositors' provisions and their isolation according to their provisions, as well as after-care programs after the end of the sentence period, as well as programs of family visits to families and items excluded from such programs." Finished
