Trump: I and Kim loved each other in Singapore
new US President , Donald Trump, praise for the results of the summit in Singapore , which compiled with his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong - un last June, noting that the summit "made us love each other."
"I was tough and Kim was, but after that we loved each other," Trump said after arriving in Virginia to address a gathering of supporters. "Really, he wrote me nice letters."
Trump added that North Korea did not appear before taking office in the United States, any desire to communicate with the administrations of the White House, including the administration of his predecessor Barack Obama , contrary to the current desire to communicate with his administration.
"Obama was on the verge of a war with Pyongyang, but fortunately his time in the presidency is over," he said.
This is not the first time that Trump has praised Kim, who has already described his relationship with the Korean leader as "excellent," saying it is characterized by "good chemistry."
The sharp tension between the United States and North Korea was marked by a breakthrough after the historic meeting between the two leaders in Singapore on June 12, when Kim pledged to give up its nuclear weapons, in exchange for Trump's pledge to provide security guarantees to North Korea.
