Maliki's alliance: We will not allow the transfer of Iraq to the field of settling accounts
The coalition of "construction" led by Hadi al-Amiri and Nuri al-Maliki, on Sunday, it will not be allowed to be the land of Iraq arena for the start of the war on Iran.
"The American statements that Iraq is a battlefield and the closure of the US consulate in Basra is unacceptable," coalition leader MP Amer al-Fayez told Basnews. "We will not allow Iraq to be a battlefield for war against Iran or any other country, .
"We will work in the new parliament and the next government to reduce external interference in the Iraqi internal affairs," Fayez said, adding that "Iraq is a sovereign country and will not allow anyone to use its territory for conflicts and to settle regional or international accounts."
The White House has accused Iran this month of failing to prevent attacks by Tehran-backed militants on the US consulate in Basra.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said in a previous statement that the United States would respond quickly and firmly to defend the lives of its citizens, accusing Iran of using its arms in Iraq to attack US facilities and supporting it with money, weapons and training programs for this purpose.
