Maliki's coalition accuses local governments of "going too far" on Baghdad in addressing countries

coalition of state law led by Nuri al-Maliki on Monday accused some local governments in the provinces of addressing countries without referring to the federal government.
"The prime minister should make official contacts with countries exclusively by the federal government, its foreign and official diplomatic channels, and no province has the right to speak to countries except through the center," MP Alia Nassif said in a statement.
She stressed that "foreign policy is the center of the center, and the prime minister to stop this persistence by some local governments," criticizing "the governor of Basra As'ad al-Eidani address one of the States individually without reference to the central government."
