Trump asks the Supreme Court to ban transsexuals from military service
(Reuters) - The administration of US President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to reconsider lower courts' decision on the right of some transgender people to serve in the military, according to Reuters.
According to the agency, the previous lower courts rejected the petition in this regard.
The Trump department has asked the Supreme Court to consider at least three cases on the case, the Associated Press reported.
It has become possible to legalize transgender people (who consider themselves of a different race from their original sex) possible in the US military thanks to the decisions of federal courts in Baltimore, Washington, Seattle and Rev.
These federal courts have impeded the blocking of a presidential decree of Trump, which prohibits the transgender service of the US armed forces.
The transgender service began to be accepted by the US Department of Defense on January 1, 2018. Last March, Trump confirmed his proposal by Defense Secretary James Matisse to limit the recruitment of transgender people with sexual disorders: Male or female.
