The head of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbusi on Wednesday ordered a parliamentary committee to investigate the case of rebuking Nineveh governor Nawfal al-Aakoub for teaching at a school.
The Information Office of Halabusi said in a statement today that the latter commissioned the Education Committee and the Committee of Regions and Governorates to investigate the governor of Nineveh exceeded the educational cadres.
Activists had a videotape showing the scribe scolding a schoolmaster against the backdrop of his former teacher beating the pupils with a stick as in another recording.
The statement added that Halabousi also charged the Finance Committee to follow up the amounts allocated to the province of Nineveh for the years 2016 -2017 -2018 and the doors of disbursement.
