Kanna: Government actions prevented the confiscation of Christian property in Baghdad and Mosul

The Secretary-General of the Assyrian Democratic Movement Yonadam Kanna said on Wednesday that the government's recent measures to sell Christian property prevented mafias from disposing of the property, pointing out that poor services and damage to homes delayed the return of Christian families to Nineveh.
"The central government has succeeded in stopping the confiscation of Christian property by taking several measures to prevent the mafia of real estate in Baghdad and Mosul from forging property documents," he said in a statement.
He added that "the center of Nineveh witnessed the return of 50 Christian families only because of poor services and fear of criminal activity in the center while recorded the Nineveh Plain area the return of 50% of its population."
He called on the federal government to "expedite the provision of means to return all displaced people, including Christians to their areas." Ending / 25 d
