    (Al-Furat News) Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmad Al-Kurayi announced his country's desire to sign a free trade agreement with Iraq.
    This came during a meeting with Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi in his office in Baghdad on Sunday, the Kurai, and the delegation accompanying him. 
    A statement by the Office of the Prime Minister, received the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "Abdul Mahdi welcomed the Qatari delegation," asserting that "Iraq is a friend of all and a component of peace serves the region is a forum of brothers and friends of all countries and peoples of the world, "He said. 
    "Our interests with our neighbors and our strong will to open and cooperate with the State of Qatar in all fields and exchange of interests in the economic, trade and investment fields and strengthen the bonds of common relations to serve our two countries and peoples."
    For his part, the Qatari minister conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar and Qatari Prime Minister to the Prime Minister, stressing that "Qatar and Iraq have great opportunities to work and exchange interests. "He said. 
    He expressed "the desire to sign a free trade agreement with Iraq to exchange, encourage and protect investments between the two countries." 
    The meeting was attended by Khalifa Bin Jassem Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, Member of the Businessmen Association, Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, CEO of Oredo Group, Abdul Rahman Al Mannai, Chief Executive Officer, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Hassan al-Fadala, Charge d'Affaires at the Qatar Embassy in Baghdad.
    On the Iraqi side, Mohammed Hashim, Minister of Commerce, Sami Al-Araji, Chairman of the National Investment Authority, Ali Nasser Al-Khuwaildi, Chairman of the Communications and Information Authority, Ambassador Ismail Shafiq, Head of the Arab Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of Directors General and Counselors.

    The State of Qatar on Sunday expressed its desire to sign a free trade agreement with Iraq, expressing the hope of increasing cooperation with Iraq and expanding relations in the economic and trade fields.
