    Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi on Sunday welcomed Lebanese businessmen and investors, while Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that Iraq is a great Lebanese symbol in the unity of its people and its victory over "da'ash".
    "Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi received today Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri and his accompanying delegation," Abdel-Mahdi's office said in a statement received by Sada Agency. "During the meeting, they reviewed the positive developments of the situation in both countries and their efforts to achieve economic development, Expanding relations and increasing economic, tourism and investment cooperation in the fields of trade exchange and all that benefits the two brotherly peoples. "
    "Iraq reclaims its great role in its Arab and regional environment as a center of gravity and maintains relations of cooperation and friendship with all neighboring countries on the basis of participation and overcoming differences and mutual benefits," he said.
    "We have confidence in Lebanese companies, and we welcome Lebanese businessmen and investors to take advantage of the great opportunities to work in Iraq," he said, adding that "Lebanon is a big country in terms of its influence in the Arab world. We are happy with the friendly relations and strong ties that unite our two countries and our peoples."
    For his part, Berri said that "Iraq is a great Lebanese symbol in the unity of its people and its victory over the oppressor and overcome the difficulties," praising "his advanced relations with Arab countries and neighboring and the policy pursued by the Prime Minister of Iraq in the establishment of diverse and balanced relations with everyone.
    "We count on Iraq to strengthen its pivotal role in its surroundings, which will help stabilize and cooperate among the countries of the region, strengthen the internal front of Iraq and enhance its security and stability."
    Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri arrived in Baghdad on Sunday for an official visit to Baghdad where he was received by First Deputy Speaker Hassan al-Kaabi.
