Fayez: Accountability and justice will say the word about new entrants in foreign affairs

A member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Amer al-Fayez, on Wednesday, that the accountability and justice will be Faisal in the appointment of some persons in the Iraqi diplomatic corps to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim gave 50% of professional and 50% of parties in the appointments of his ministry.
Al-Fayez said in a statement to Al-Maaloumah that "there are indications of some figures in the Foreign Ministry and will be audited in the accountability and justice in order to know the fact of their association with the Baath Party buried or not."
"The foreign minister has put in place controls for the selection of new ambassadors, and former ambassadors will also be subject to them, especially with regard to job qualifications and language," he said.
"The minister of foreign affairs will give the new appointees 50 percent for the profession and 50 percent for the parties, but the civil service law provides 70 percent for the professional and 30 percent for the parties, but the party candidates will also be tested and the controls stipulated in the diplomatic work," al-Fayez said.
