The White House has unveiled the first action to be taken soon in the context of the implementation of the Middle East peace plan, prepared by the administration of US President Donald Trump, known as the Century Deal.
The White House announced on Sunday that it will hold a conference in Bahrain in late June to encourage investment in the Palestinian territories as a first step to the peace plan for the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The conference will be held in Bahrain on June 25-26 and will include government leaders and prominent representatives from civil society and the business community, the White House said.
He said the Bahrain conference "aims to stimulate support for potential economic investments" that would be possible if a Middle East peace agreement is reached.
Since his election in the 2016 presidential election, the current US president has promised that the solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will be one of his administration's top priorities if he wins, while later asserting that his team is working on a peace plan he called the "century deal".
Since the publication of the "Deal of the Century", the Trump administration, assisted by its chief adviser and brother-in-law, Jared Kouchner, has not revealed details of the initiative, causing widespread speculation and rumors.
But media reports based on several sources in the Trump team said that the plan to settle the conflict between Palestinians and Israelis, which includes a number of Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, does not include the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, as stipulated in all relevant UN resolutions.
Meanwhile, Kouchner said earlier that the Middle East peace plan, which he has been working on for nearly two years, will be unveiled next June after Ramadan, saying it would be a "good starting point" for tackling the Israeli conflict. Palestinian conflict
