The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Hamid al-Ghazi discussed on Sunday the problems that led to the decline of services in the province of Babylon during his meeting with the governor of Babylon Karar Abadi, and a number of members of the provincial council.
"The two parties discussed ways to improve the service reality of the province and remove the obstacles related to the resumption of work on the stalled infrastructure projects," the statement said.
"The need for the province and the provinces and related areas to major strategic projects in various sectors, notably (electricity, health, education, sanitation and potable water), and other service sectors," pointing to "Babylon's distinctive location as it links many of the provinces of the Middle Euphrates, The deep historical dimension that made it a destination for tourists and researchers. "
For its part, the local government reviewed "the problems and constraints that led to the decline of services in the province, the most important lack of financial allocations, and the cessation of vital projects."
"The Secretary-General promised to follow up all obstacles and remove them according to the possibilities available," stressing "his support for the development of all the provinces of the country, including Babylon, and everything that would improve the level of services provided by the government to citizens."
