The Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Oil Parliamentary Hibt Halbusi, Thursday, an investigation into 20 contracts concluded by the Ministry of Electricity during the past years, indicating that the Committee will not hesitate to open any file of corruption in the ministry.
"The committee asked the Ministry of Electricity, the files of 20 contracts concluded by the ministry during the period of previous governments, to investigate them," Halaboussi said in an interview with Mawazine News.
He added that "the Committee on Energy will not hesitate to open files and contracts suspected of corruption," stressing that it "wants to uncover the faults in the problem of electricity instability in Iraq, despite the disbursement of large sums of money."
