Parliamentary elections determine the "mother of misfortunes" in provincial council elections

[rtl]A member of the legal committee in the Iraqi parliament that there are "four major points of disagreement" between the political forces on the amendment of the Iraqi election law for the provincial councils.[/rtl]
[rtl]The new Arab quoted Hussein al-Aqabi as saying that "the most important is the equation of counting votes, which is one of the most important problems, but is the mother of calamities," he said.[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed to the existence of several proposals on the electoral law, indicating that the proposals will be submitted to Parliament for a vote.[/rtl]
[rtl]The deputy head of the parliamentary legal committee Mohammed al-Ghazi said that "there are some points of contention related to the election law has been exceeded within the Legal Committee," referring to "the deportation of other points to vote in parliament, blending more than one proposal received from political blocs and deputies."[/rtl]
[rtl]"The proposals will be put to the vote in the House of Representatives to be chosen system that will pass and depends on the election of provincial councils," stressing that "the main problem lies in the Kirkuk elections in the presence of fear by the Arab and Turkmen components of the elections without updating the register of voters."[/rtl]
[rtl]"We have hosted the Electoral Commission and the competent ministries in a previous session, and we have received some assurances from the Commission on voter registration."[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that "the big parties concerned about the decline in popularity are those who want the high electoral standard 1.9, and civil currents and small blocs want to 1.4 because it will give them the opportunity to win seats according to the mechanism adopted."[/rtl]
[rtl]Much of the confusion about the e-voting that was applied in the Iraqi legislative elections in May 2018 was caused by the breakdown of the voting apparatus and the accusations that results were easily manipulated.[/rtl]
