    Baghdad / ... The High Electoral Commission said, on Thursday, that it is not possible to suggest a date for early elections, without completing the pass of the law.

    The Commission stated in a statement received by "Eye of Iraq News" that "conducting a fair electoral process in accordance with legal and international standards requires expediting the distinguished parliament to complete procedures for enacting the election law and the tables attached to it that determine the electoral districts and the number of electoral seats for each constituency and delineate the electoral constituency boundaries accurately at the time The commission can suggest a date for holding the elections according to what is stated in the election law, taking into consideration that the date be as soon as possible.

    She pointed out that "the Board of Commissioners, and based on the Electoral Commission Law No. (31) of 2019, is working hard to create the technical and logistical measures necessary to hold elections in accordance with international standards to protect the integrity and transparency of elections."

    She explained: "As a first step, the Council set out to put in place the policies, regulations and mechanisms that regulate the work of the Commission, and despite the accompanying challenges of this work, it was able to restructure its internal system and benefit from the expertise and functional capabilities of its employees at the technical, educational and electoral awareness levels and the internal management."

    She continued: "The Commission does not lose sight of the important role of the electoral process partners in supporting the democratic climate, which requires hard work to reach a better level in educating and educating voters on the importance of participating in the elections to consolidate the principles of democracy, and it is hoped that they will contribute effectively to the success of the elections of the Iraqi parliament." Finished 2
