Finance: Searching with the United States to protect Iraq's money after the end of the period of immunity
04/16/14 - Confirmed that the Ministry of Finance to hold talks in Washington to protect Iraqi funds abroad after the end of the period of immunity in 05/22/2014, while stressed the need for the adoption of the law offices prudent to do to provide payments for the benefit of Iraq before the courts of Foreign Affairs. Ministry said: "The Minister of Finance and agency purity of religion Net and in the presence of the governor of the Iraqi Central Bank building in the Iraqi Embassy in Washington, United States of America discussed with the legal adviser to the Ministry of Finance of the Foundation Cleary Kutlb discuss the status of the measures that will protect Iraqi funds abroad and to be implemented by the Iraqi government after the end of the period of immunity in 22/05/2014 " . according to Al Wasat newspaper
Net and ruled out the extension of the international protection of Iraqi funds abroad, estimated at 180 billion dollars. Said net that ended Iraq's debts to three and forty state while negotiations are under way to repay the debt to the rest of the eight countries only.
