A member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, announced on Thursday that the judiciary has withdrawn the powers of the Inspector General of the Interior Ministry, Jamal al-Asadi, accusing him of fabricating a malicious case against her son's son.
"The judiciary has withdrawn the powers of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Jamal al-Asadi, including the powers of arrest and detention," Nassif said in a statement.
