The High Commission for the General Census announces its full readiness to implement it in 2020

The High Commission for the General Census of the Ministry of Planning, announced on Sunday, its readiness to implement the census next year.
The ministry said in a statement received / information / copy, that "Minister of Planning Nuri Sabah al-Dulaimi, chaired an expanded meeting of the Chamber of Operations and Executive Management of the General Census of Population and Housing 2020, in the presence of members of the Commission representatives of ministries and local governments and the Kurdistan region."
The meeting reviewed, according to the statement, "efforts to implement the census, and the readiness of the specialized staff and the most prominent challenges that can be faced and ways to overcome them without any impact on the timelines to be completed," while Nouri Dulaimi stressed "the provision of the general census of data and statistics on economic and social development and provide the best services to citizens."
The meeting discussed "the steps that have been achieved, the organizational structure of the census formations and their respective mechanisms of work in the governorates, districts, sub-districts and villages, and the best ways to invest international support and the efforts that the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will contribute."
