On Wednesday, the Ministry of Planning announced that it needs 250,000 meters to implement the 2020 census, indicating that it intends to contract graduates to implement the census through their training.
"The Ministry of Planning has raised the estimated costs of its need to conduct a census in 2020 and it has been included in the budget for next year," ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi told Al-Maalouma.
He added that "the ministry needs 250,000 meters to implement the census," noting that "it is not possible to assign employees of this number to complete the census."
He explained that "contracts will be concluded with graduates, teachers and teachers for a period ranging from 6 months to a year to complete the census," noting that "they will be entered into remedial courses on the census procedure to enable them to fill in the census forms at the time of their launch."
