[size=45]President of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Faeq Zidan received in his office on Tuesday the President and members of the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives. An official statement of the Supreme Judicial Council that "the meeting discussed ways of cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Supreme Judicial Council, especially the legislation of laws in general and with regard to the judiciary in particular."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that “the most important of these legislation the new Penal Code, and accelerate the legislation of the Federal Court to address the state of the constitutional vacuum and as far as the constitutional judiciary, because there is no provision in the Constitution or any law currently in force showing the mechanism for appointing the President and members of the Court, an anomalous situation is not worthy of Iraq as a state A democracy based on respect for the Constitution and the law. ”[/size]
[size=45]The statement added that "the meeting was attended by Messrs. Chief Prosecutors and the judicial supervision."[/size]
