BAGHDAD / NINA / Acting Minister of Finance, Safa al-Safi declared that "The Kurdistan Region 's share of the federal budget for 2014 rose to / 20 / trillion dinars ."

Safi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "the budget in its current form has resolved a large part of the problems that exist between the Governments of the center and the province of Kurdistan ."

He made it clear that" the budget had been built on the basis that both governments of the center and the region take responsibility of production expenses and benefits of the oil companies, the salaries and expenses of the sovereign positions for each of them ."

He added : "The region's share on that basis rose from 16 trillion dinars to 20."

He confirmed the existence of a genuine desire among the political blocs to approve the budget , regardless of the differences between the governments of the center and the Kurdistan region in the amount of oil production and some of the points related .

The Parliament has raised on April 6 its sessions until further notice, until reaching a consensus on the general budget between the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government.
