    confirmed the border outlets, on Wednesday, that the outlet of Zerbatia-Mehran border is open and works with all its capacity.

    Iran has closed the Mehran border crossing with Iraq, the RT news agency reported on Wednesday.
    "Iran has closed the Mehran border crossing with Iraq against the backdrop of continuing unrest in the neighboring country," IRNA said, citing its correspondent.
    The decision came after Iraqi demonstrators in Badra district (70 km east of Kut province) earlier cut a road leading to the Mehran border crossing with Iran in the southeastern province of Wasit, which led to a halt in traffic to and from the crossing.
    The Mehran Crossing, one of the main crossings between Iran and Iraq, flows through the forty visitors.
    A wave of protests against the government is demanding that it fight corruption, create jobs and improve services.
