The Ministry of Planning announced its intention to conduct a general population census in October of next year 2020, expecting that [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] population of Iraq will be approximately 40 million.
Ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi said in a press statement: "The [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/4308/%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%B7%D9%8A%D8%B7]Ministry of Planning[/url] launched its work and its preparatory measures to launch the general census of the Iraqi population six months ago."
He added: "Preparations are underway to conduct a general census in October of next year, and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] pilot [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has been conducted in four Iraqi provinces."
He explained that "the purpose of the experimental census is the readiness of the teams and to know the constraints of the census form and what are the obstacles and problems of the project and problems before its launch," noting that: "The [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/13453/%D8%B3%D9%83%D8%A7%D9%86 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%B1%D8%A7%D9%82]population of Iraq[/url] in 2020 is expected to be approximately 40 million people."
