Citizen bloc: We'll submit our candidate for prime minister during the meetings of the National Alliance

BAGHDAD / NINA / The spokesman of the citizen bloc, Balik Abu Kalal said that "what delay us to name a candidate of the next government is our commitment to be the candidate from the National Alliance, not from the National Coalition ."
He added in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / "The citizen coalition will not nominate any one to head the next government during the current period, waiting for the next meetings of the National Alliance to submit its candidate ."
He continued : "Although the citizen coalition has qualified individuals capable of running the country for the next period , but we are waiting for the National Alliance to submit and discussed."
He explained that " naming a candidate by State of Law coalition without returning to the National Alliance cannot be accepted, because the basis of our agreement is to nominate the candidate from the National Alliance ."
The spokesman of the National Reform coalition, Ahmed Gamal said that the next meeting of the Political Body of the National Alliance will discuss mechanisms for selecting the candidate for the post of prime minister .
He confirmed that there are problems within the National Alliance's blocs, most prominent problem is choosing a prime minister for the next government and the insistence of the State of Law Coalition on a single candidate, which raises objections from citizen and Ahrar blocs.
He said the National Reform Movement, led by Ibrahim al-Jaafari, made major efforts to bring the sides and stand at the same distance from everyone to ensures keeping the National Alliance united. / End
