The highest judicial authority in Iraq responds to appeals submitted by governorate councils

The Federal Supreme Court responded to the appeals by the decision of the Iraqi Council of Representatives "to dissolve the provincial and district councils."
And according to the ruling, the court approved the amendment of the recently approved law by the House of Representatives to dissolve provincial councils, district councils, and municipal councils.
The court considered the decision to dissolve the councils in accordance with the law and not subject to appeal.
The Iraqi Parliament voted recently to end the work of the provincial councils on the impact of the protests taking place in the federal capital, Baghdad, and areas and cities in the Shiite-majority country.
