Transport Minister Abdullah Laibi announced that more than two million passengers were transported aboard the Green Bird to 34 destinations during 2019.
Laibi said in a statement seen by the "Economy News", that "according to statistics issued by the General Company for Iraqi Airways that the total number of travelers amounted to (2,234,575) passengers, distributed on direct flights that visited the various local, regional and international sectors, which number (34) Destination. "
He added, "This increase in the number of travelers confirms the extent of the Iraqi traveler's confidence in the green bird, who is keen on the traveler's comfort through his keenness to provide them with the best services."
Laibi explained, "Travel offers and new destinations, as well as work with the two categories and pre-reservation systems, which were launched at the beginning of this year, contributed greatly to attracting more travelers by giving them options that are more appropriate to their desires and travel needs." To "continue the national carrier to work to develop its services and meet all the needs and desires of travelers across the Iraqi Airways fleet."
