Over the years, previous governments were unable to improve the service situation in the country, as financial and administrative corruption and the security and political crises that struck Iraq contributed to this important file that touches the lives and livelihood of citizens remaining neglected and receiving patchwork solutions, of which only a small part was achieved. .
However, most observers and citizens have begun to notice the record of achievements on the ground under the current Sudanese government, as it called itself a services government, and bet on national capabilities to achieve quick and real achievements in a short period, which is what actually happened, especially in the road sectors and projects to solve the housing crisis. .
The head of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Mahma Khalil, told Al-Sabah: “The issue of services has problems that have been inherited for years and over the course of previous governments, as they have accumulated, but today the citizen is demanding them more, especially after all the parliamentary blocs announced their electoral programs, as well as the government.” About my service program.
He pointed out, "The absence of a clear plan to dismantle the problem of services according to priorities, and the necessity of bringing in reputable companies and eliminating corruption and red tape, in addition to the necessity of amending the investment law to direct the provision of services through it." Khalil pointed out that “achieving investment requires a strong foundation,” noting that “the issue of services has moved from (below zero) at the present time to a higher level, so local governments must focus on finishing lagging projects and providing financial cover for them.”
He stressed that “the government of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani is a service government and this file is being moved under its leadership, as evidenced by his interest in it. However, there is great suffering due to the lack of financial and legislative cover at times,” indicating that “projects to relieve traffic congestion and solve the housing crisis are a positive step that is consistent with the government program.” Most of the projects completed in Baghdad are all credited to the Sudanese government, but we have not yet reached the required level.”
Khalil added, “The service locomotive has begun to move with the efforts and blessings of the Sudanese, and we need political and legislative support to legislate laws to be a cover for work, provide financial cover, fight corruption, not cover up the corrupt, and not obstruct work under the pretext of red tape.”
For his part, the representative of Diyala Governorate, Salem Al-Anbaki, told “Al-Sabah”: “His governorate has not yet taken its share of the service and urban aspects,” noting that “the reconstruction process in all governorates varies from one governorate to another, in addition to the difference in the sobriety of work.” And companies.”
He added, "We need the projects in the governorate to be more feasible," stressing "the need to expand them to include health projects and the construction of hospitals, schools, infrastructure, water and electricity."
