Transport sets a date to close the file of development road route conflicts

The Ministry of Transport has set the next three months as the date for ending the file of conflicts with the path of the Development Road Project for the remaining eight governorates.
Ministry spokesman Maytham Al-Safi told Al-Sabah that the ministry, after it was able to resolve the conflicts file in ten governorates during the first half of the current year, set a timetable not to exceed the next three months to resolve the conflicts in the remaining governorates, indicating that Dohuk Governorate It will be the first of the eight remaining governorates, as Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi will visit it during the next week to complete the procedures for resolving conflicts and expropriations and approving the road, indicating that there is high coordination and great cooperation with the local governments in the
aforementioned governorates.
He explained that the Ministry has completed the formation of the specialized technical committees that will coordinate and work with the technical committees of the rest of the countries participating in the project once those countries finish forming them, stressing that the Ministry is determined to complete the steps of this promising strategic project for the country, the region and the world.
At the conclusion of his speech, Al-Safi stated that his ministry was able to achieve significant progress with regard to completing the requirements of the technical procedures and preliminary designs implemented by an Italian consulting company, noting that the percentage of designs for the railway line reached 66 percent, while the land line exceeded the percentage of 50 percent. Soil investigation operations have been shown to be carried out by a
specialized Turkish company.
