The Parliamentary Economic Committee, "The Final Touches", has drawn up a draft of the Mineral Investment Law, in order to put it up for the first reading in Parliament.
According to committee member Nada Shaker Jawdat, that the committee "will continue meetings during the legislative recess of the Council, to discuss the important laws that are in favor of the society, especially important economic laws, most notably the Partnership Act between the private and public sectors, and the law of mineral investment in which the Commission has reached the significant results And it will be sent to the presidency of the council to prepare it for the first reading in the council.
She added that "the adoption of this law will ensure the revitalization of the mineral investment sector in Iraq, through optimal investment, and will create new revenues for the public budget instead of almost complete dependence on oil." Ended 29 / A 43
