    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Federal Supreme Court confirmed that the decisions of the Hearing Committee in the Media and Communications Commission are not final, indicating that they are subject to appeal before the Appeals Board in the Commission.
    "The Federal Supreme Court has heard an appeal against the unconstitutionality of the hearing committee and the Appeals Board at the Media and Communications Authority," court spokesman Iyas al-Samuk said in a statement.
    The Samuk added, "In its ruling on the appeal, the Federal Supreme Court concluded that (the Hearing Committee) is an administrative body that considers complaints submitted to it and its members who have jurisdiction in that field, and not a judicial court and its decisions are subject to appeal before the (Appeals Board)."
    He pointed out that "the court found that the Appeals Board (the Appeals Council), is composed of three members headed by a judge, who is considered a legally challenged body, because it secures judicial and administrative impartiality as it specializes in looking into appeals that respond to decisions issued by the Director General of the Media and Communications Authority And the decisions issued by the (Hearing Committee) in the commission. "
    The Samuk stressed that "the Federal Supreme Court mentioned that the existence of an appellate body represented by (the Appellate Council) is consistent with the provision of Article (100) of the constitution and does not violate it."
    He stated, "The court stated that Article (100) of the constitution did not stipulate the right to challenge actions or decisions by the judiciary, so the texts and formations that are the subject of the appeal came as a legislative option and did not constitute a violation of the constitution."
    And among the Samuk, "The court said that this was settled in many of its rulings, and then ruled that the lawsuit lacked its constitutional support, and decided to dismiss it."
    He went on to say, "The ruling was issued in full and binding agreement in accordance with the provisions of Article (94) of the Constitution and Article (5 / Second) of the Federal Supreme Court Law No. (30) of 2005." is over
