Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP, Jawad al-Hasnawi, of Sadr Trend expected the current crisis to be reduced as the Provincial Councils elections approach.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “We do not think the crisis will be settled quickly but the PCs elections will reduce its tension,” noting that “The demonstrators will head towards changing the local governments that failed in their provinces.”

“The solutions presented by the Ministerial Commission formed to follow up the demonstrators’ demands are limited so Government must meet the demonstrators directly.”

He called “The demonstrators to keep on their adherence to the legitimate demands and not to call for dissolving the Justice and Accountability Commission or to cancel Article 4 of Anti-Terrorism law rather they should call to apply them in a fair way.”
